Education being the key to the future, this is why education is so important to the Cultural Association of Togolese of Ontario (CATO). It is important to point out that thanks to the efforts of its members and the executive board, the association sent educational material, such as: computers, books, as well as cash money to help a school for the deaf and dumb in Togo. In its major concern to ensure access to quality education for young people, CATO has set itself the objective of promoting education in Togo through small projects. This year, CATO in collaboration with The Ewe-Canadian Culture Organization of Ontario (ECCOO) provided student financial aid to a few excellent students to help them meet their tuition fees at the University of Lomé. As you can see in the photos and in the videos below, the award ceremony for this aid took place under the leadership of the coordinator of the project management committee, in the presence of the vice-president of University of Lomé, some inspectors of national education, educational advisers as well as beneficiary students. The various speeches, in particular that of the Vice-President as guest of honor as well as the presentations of the beneficiaries proved to be of remarkable content and were most appreciated. This is the place to say a big thank you to CATO and ECCOO for their generosity.
